My inspiration for this collection is The Fantasticks, a musical written by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt. The story surrounds two young lovers, their feuding fathers, and an intervening narrator. The Fantasticks plainly shows us two sides of the same coin: the poetic whimsy of youth, and the blinding realities of our harsh world. These pieces are dedicated to my family, who will tell this story for eternity.
